No Skill Assessment and No Goal Setting for QA

This clearly indicates what they want to do with Senior Systems Quality Assurance Analysts. They want people with QA skills only till they merge applications, move to cloud and bring Product environment. So now is the time for QA to make a decision.

"Honestly automation testing fits only for regression" - this shows why the QA folks need to go. no friggin clue about how software and engineering works.

Honestly automation testing fits only for regression. This senseless management just for the sake of corruption, vender commissions and fancy show up are going after automation. This will for sure will fail and they have to come back to manual testing for functional testing.

no skills assessment and goal setting for QA because aren't we getting rid of that job family? no more manual testing - isn't that what well engineered solutions have? also, its the trend across FS.

No wonder production defects are going up if they solely are relying on automation.

Like most of Corporate America, when they think they can get rid of you, they do, despite what you have done in the past. A lot of times the business falls apart later but at least they saved a few bucks and made the shareholders happy. The he-l with the stress on the remaining employees.

A lesson for you youngsters out there. Don’t give your life to a company who won’t appreciate it.

QA will be a need as long as they can write automation code. Manual testing is going away. Thank Agile for this.
