Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

I don't think they expected this

I feel a little embarrassed and sad that I am one of the few who hasn't resigned. I couldn't find anything better. However, I was also surprised by how many colleagues gave notices, but I guess it was an even bigger surprise for BNYM? I don't believe they expected something like this.

They expect it and they plan on it happening. Heard this myself from uppers . Their thought is everyone knew we’d go back in at some point and the statement was that if people want to wfh then go find work elsewhere

They did and they already noted that this message has gone out for a long time. If people don’t want to work in office they can find a job elsewhere . I’m hoping they lose so many at once they eat those words

Worse, they didn’t expect it (because they are arrogant) AND they don’t care.
Congrats to those that pulled the plug.

They absolutely expect it. I’ve heard it during conference calls and they say if people want a permanent wfh job then go elsewhere

Not sure they expected it being how arrogant they are. BNY will give the least amount effort to hold on to its rank and file employee. Meanwhile the 'destroyers' at the top get handsomely rewarded.
Yes, I am one of the rank and file that said, 'Au Revoir' BNY this month.
