Thread regarding Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) layoffs

Merit based pay raises are in……..

And they were appalling this year. Company took no consideration into the current inflationary environment. I’m now convinced they are absolutely trying to get people in the NE to quit so they can hire people for cheaper in Jacksonville. Announced this on the same day they rolled out a pathetic attempt at employee appreciation lol. Say what you will about past management but at least they actually somewhat took care of the employees. I’ve got an offer in hand, I’m literally just waiting and laughing behind the backs of this train wreck of a company.

A "...rude, unprofessional, condescending..." DnB Leader? Well I'm shocked.
And really, the acquisition of Zoom by Discovery.org was the final nail in DnB's coffin.

Why is everyone here hating on Zoom? They’re literally a more successful business and their data integrity is leagues above D&B’s junk data. If I wanted to stay in this field I’d much rather work at Zoom.

I resigned last month from the small business sales division at D&B in Austin. I was ranked #3 on the team for sales the entire previous year, and was still treated like I was a novice because I didn’t pucker up every time the director walked by. I was always professional and cordial, I just didn’t worship her like some others did. She was rude, unprofessional, condescending, and her public tantrums were an HR department’s worst nightmare. When the merit increases came around, I was offered a pitiful amount that wouldn’t even add a dollar to my hourly base rate. A sales rep in my same department who didn’t even hit 100% of goal for the year got almost triple what I did. I hit over 140%. This place is poisonous and it is run by grown children. I couldn’t be happier that I left.

I don’t know, mine was poor as well. Merit based pay raises in recent years seem totally driven by politics and not actually based on merit. It seems to be whoever can suck up the most

Does your big merit based raise limit you from reading correctly? Offer is in hand, and no it’s not zoom but a very successful global company. Everything D&B is not and wants to be. Enjoy your train wreck lol. One day all your hard work will pay off, maybe, but probably not.

It is 'Merit based' for a reason.

Could not agree more. You are not entitled to an increase it must be earned.
Same for bonuses, I was so annoyed when everyone got 100% target regardless of their performance.

IDK, I'm in NE and am happy with my increase.
It is 'Merit based' for a reason. Maybe you would do better at Zoom.
