Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

"One Fiserv" nonsense

Leadership simultaneously says "One Fiserv" while also forcibly shoving the "OFS" and "OFD" acronyms down our throats. In reality, the company should be called "First Data" since we are repeatedly punished with outdated/broken FD tooling. No respect or attention has been paid in the least, towards Fiserv history. Frank and Guy are pretty delusional if they think their processes are actually better.

They still have OFS and OFD to keep us divided; To blame each other rather than the ones in charge. Oldest trick in the book. Anyone who still thinks of themselves as one or the other is part of the problem. Simple minded sheep.

Nicely put @2xu - I came from OFS and after the merger I lost some of my OFS team but gained a handful of OFD resources. They were very talented, and were great to work with. They were suffering some of the same issues we had from the OFS side. The only benefit they got was the OFD leadership VP's, SVP's, etc. all knew them and they seemed to get a little better treated when it came to raises and bonus. Keep in mind as a first level manager you make the initial recommendation on raises/bonuses but every level above you can adjust them. To my OFD leadership's credit they never bumped down any of my recommendations, they did bump some up but those were only OFD people.

Draw your own conclusions.

This OFS and OFD stuff is so ridiculous. Its one company. One company that is run by leadership that is comprised of bullies not leaders. Lets be very honest here... the entire enterprise was developed on what is now, outdated technology. There has been some attempts at both Fiserv AND First Data to optimize solutions but that takes time and is expensive. It is disgusting reading a disheartened, overworked, undervalued, and often hopeless, Fiserv resource replying to someone "from original First Data" that is baiting you. Since this is an anonymous site, I expect some of these haters don't even work for the company. Stop taking the bait. Ignore those jerks. THEY obviously live very boring lives and come here to get their drama.

Try to remember, most original FD employees are in this train wreck with the original FS employees. We hated executive management too and were hopeful with the merger. We can clearly see that things will not get better. Writing is on the wall - get in the lifeboat now.

Right, OFS has a difficult time with backwards thinking, antiquated infrastructure and nonworking software. It’s hard to get with the program when we have to take 10 steps backwards.

If you’re taking a counter offer, it’s odd you are on here complaining. Continue living in fantasy land OFS

If Frank wants us to leave he needs to instruct his people to stop pressing us with counter offers when we resign.

I can’t stop laughing at these OFS people that stick around. You lost. Frank wants you to leave. All of OFD wants you to leave. But yet, you’re still here

If you are still referring to people as OFD or OFS three years after the merger, you’re part of the problem.

@grt... Your program sux. Why do you think FD was bought by a smaller company? Because FD was $18B in debt and Fiserv was cash rich, which made FD easy pickings. Once the FD felons go thru all of the Fiserv cash, they'll be easy pickings again. I think I'll order my ACI or Diebold polo now and beat the Christmas rush.
