Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I'm not actively looking, but I'd be happy to leave with proper incentive

I'm not looking for a new job right now (despite its flaws, Intel still pays well), but if they offered me a chance to walk away with a decent severance package, I'd be happy to accept. I think I've come as far as I can in my career here (unless I want to turn into a brown-noser, which, thanks but no thanks), and if I want to move up I now know I'll have to change companies (I've been here for 10 years). I don't want it that much yet, but I'd consider being laid off/being offered voluntary separation the push I need to get a move on it.

Have you tested waters? One of the comforting lies we tell ourselves is equating lack of options to something more profound.

OP: you needed a push like a package to leave, not a pull like being poached?

Those golden severances are long gone. You'll be waiting for a long time and still never get it.. You are wasting your time and Intel's time..
