Time Warner spin off

Stankey commented that they “broke even on the Time Warner deal”. If they broke even why are they still in over a $160 billion in debt?

Ignore the debt. Look at the revenues. Be happy.

Workers are paid. Investors are paid. Why worry about the debt.

Accounting is complex and there are many games played. You can't just look at debt and draw valid conclusions.

That said, Stank's unwillingness to release audited P&L on the deal is the tell.

Spinning off assert is one thing, spinning off debit is another. Discovery will take the WM assert and leave the debt. Stankey can keep yapping, no one cares.
