Apparently lead positions will be eliminated after the next Christmas season. Replaced with a computerized accountability system where associates have to acknowledge their completed tasks on a daily basis. And smiling at people at the cafe causes Covid.

Oh yeah. And every weekend the club would need to shut down because that’s when the technology always goes down.

I thought we already acknowledged tasks on the handheld. Anyways, Yep teamleads going salary. Won't make manager pay. Just another way to cut mgrs and payroll at the same time.
I have been hearing team leads wlll go to salary and been like some kind of manager. They call us mangers now and mangers will be be like an upper management. But I heard they have been saying this for years also so who knows. I could see that happening before making all leads go to being just an associate because then they can have them work 50 hours for a salary instead of just 40 hours.
U know to the people saying leads don't do anything u have no idea. U apparently have not been a lead. They do a lot more than u think they do so don't speak on something u know nothing about. As for this rumor I dont know if it's true because you can't even get people to work now and most of the ones that do if a lead isn't there to babysit they will not do anything but sit on their phones all day. So maybe there won't be leads but I don't think the leads will go back down to a reg associate. Just don't make sense. Now if ur leads at ur store dont do anything you may need to take that to their manager but our leads do work. So stop grouping all leads in with the leads that do nothing that like me grouping you with an associate that does nothing and stays on the phone which I won't do because I don't know you and you may be a great worker. That's the problem people come on here and just group every position and their work ethic with what they see in there own club. That just not ok. So in the end maybe there won't be leads idk but It sure this early in the year for this kind of rumor. So I am gonna go out on a limb and say this is probably just a rumor and if not we all know that this company changes there minds so many times during the year. Hey ur store may close u don't know mine may go idk but pretty sure mine won't we are over million dollar club. So I will keep doing my job working hard and doing my best and what comes will come maybe we will all get lucky and it will be another raise. Haha see what I did there ended this with some sarcasm lol hahah have good night.
Someone explain how this will work. I don't see how a handful of managers will be able to run all of the different areas without a leads.
not saying this is false info because we all know home office will get rid of anyone that makes high salary.
Yes, I overheard this as well. Team leaders will be forced to work at the same level as regular associates. Maybe they will finally get some work done instead of walking around all day talking with other associates while their areas fall apart because we need help but do not get the help we need to get things done.
