Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

F@ck Wells Fargo

I have Worked for the company for 20 years, 12 years in a position with approved remote three days a week. Worked out of the same 2 locations the entire time . My return to office website shows one location which is nearby only to find out today they want me to drive to a location 49 miles away or another location 37 miles away. There’s more than enough capacity at my nearby building but due to the new corporate properties strategies and in not allowed there. Going to be pretty convenient when they select the 36 mile location as that will not be considered a significant job change since it is not 40 miles ( curly severance pay guidelines document published this year ) from my house and eliminates the severance option.

It definitely is getting pretty obvious they’re trying to make things miserable for people so that they quit.

Even told you need to work your entire shift in the office , Typically in the past was able to leave around 2 o’clock and work from home a couple hours if needed.

This is not to complain about return the office, totally makes sense to people who only worked from home because of Covid to go back, but people on career paths that allowed working remote approved by the manager this seems awful petty.

I'm glad I quit. I took a WFH job, my commute is 20 feet.

@1mxf+1fFHgiOh Don’t need to be an as----e lol already spoke to my manager and 1 up as well as the coordinator . It’s CPG that Is dictating who is allowed in the building, no more getting a seat and letting it just charged to your AU.

I’m well aware of how to navigate the system but my business line is not budging at all and CPG is not doing exceptions , they tell you what buildings are avail and that’s it …. My a manger even just moved some people to sites in workday and about 14 days later she got a notification that the were not allowed on that building.

I know of 3 people this happened to, all 3 were easily resolved by an email to their coordinator.

Use some common sense and learn how to communicate like a big boy.

It may be black and white now, but you'll probably be able to change your seat. Stop freaking out

It’s sites I’ve worked from over 20 years and 2 days a week for the last 12-15 are 8 miles max , I’m part of the consumer group which is in both building is the the correct part of consumer …. It really seems like they are trying to make it as difficult as possible ! I as told workday will update with my new location once they find it and it’s most likely the furthest possible building of the 20+ around me

@ajl+1fFHgiOh I've spoken with one of the office coordinators. They said no one can change office locations until "second phase." No clue when the "second phase" will happen (if it's in couple weeks or couple months). They're trying to figure out how full most facilities will be, and considering getting more space (which is stupid, since they can save tons of money having people working from home).

I really have to say that WF is the worst place I have ever worked - and I have worked at a lot of companies. I am biding my time and turning in my notice soon, because I really can't take it anymore.

Seriously is unbelievable what they are doing …. It everyone should work from home , I get that . But these so called black and white rules are bu-----t as they make no sense , especially this BS with how Wells Fargo owned buildings and open seats are used

A lot of what's going on is by design by Charlie. He did all this over at Mellon Bank so it's the same game for him. Make people leave reducing head count and saving expenses to boost shareholder equity. Once complete everyone will see how well run the bank is and will invest, only there are other problems such the bank's toxic reputation. There's no humanity in the leadership only dreams of bonuses. India will become the new corporate sl-ves at a much lower run rate.
