Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

No more processes, please

I was hired to produce, let me do so. On most projects I have more PMs versus people who are doing implementations. If someone screws up an implementation, investigate and act in a realistic plan, not MORE processes. If you have questions about a project, ask the person who knows what is happening. Do not trust the word of those who do not attended enough meetings to have accurate information.: @1czw+1fD1rXuM

Totally agree! However, I am afraid that we can only get inundated with even more processes.

The “There is a process” is just another way for people to say “ I have no idea what I’m doing or what the role entails”.
The “process improvements” are a joke and just convelude the actual work. But it’s typical bank behavior. Not understanding the ACTUAL job and thinking implementing a process will save the day. Oh and add to your resume.
KISS. The jobs are basic and simple, the unnecessary extra processes are what is ki----g the flow and ki----g employees.

The people making the decisions about process typically have never done the job itself, have little to no competency in how the process works, do not understand the dynamics and ricochet effects of process changes, and are never impacted by their poor decisions. Decisions are made top-down, with literally no input from the workers. Nothing is more frustrating than not being in charge of your day because some numbskull ten states away wants to make an arbitrary and onerous process change.

BOA technology has more agile/scrum folks/ project management members / risk people / change management/ release management people than actual developers to perform any work.

These non-tech people are in a race to report to higher-ups aka continuous meetings.

It has go worse over the years

We have a process to improve that...

We need to implement a process for that particular type of situation. We need to cut back on efficiencies around this place, this is ridiculous.
