Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

RTO - no test needed for first week

Lol, they still want the plague rats to still go into the office during the first week even they are untested!!!!

It’s not about safety, it’s about control.

Unfortunately no… the typical SF educated Wells employee would have written “rains”.

Obviously not a Wells Fargo employee replying on this board. A true WF employee would know it is “reins” and not “reigns”. Our stagecoach drivers hold the reins of the horses.

Good for you. The only thing they listen to is the almighty dollar and this who are supplying them.

We all know where some of their senators spent July 4th in 2018.

Someone has to hold the reigns and pull us in the right direction. I am doing my part.

Great. Why not go out and get a job at a “smart” company. Or are they too smart to hire you?

Hear Hear! To add to what you said, I am also not vacationing, traveling through or spending any money on items manufactured or sold in 'red states'. I will pay extra if I have to buy another product from overseas or from another state, but I will not give a single dime to red state companies.

WFH is moving on with life. Working in an office is the old way of thinking. The digital age allows collaboration from anywhere just as easily as working together in person. Smart companies understand that.

How about Wells Fargo rolls out a religious exemption for RTO so all the Branch Covidian zealots who want to stay home forever can do so while the rest of us move on with life?

It is a personal choice to be scared or life your life.

Covid hasn't gone away. We are facing another huge wave in 2 months just like the past 2 years. It's already happening in Asia.

I will vote for those who kept us safe, tried to make sure everyone was vaccinated, gave qualified people a little extra help even if I didn't get a dime, and who used science to determine their answers and not fringe science or religious science. I will vote for those who wish to keep religion far away from government, those who understand the world is changing and the digital era is just getting started, those who understand science on global warming, those who understand the value of diversity in our communities, and those who want to focus on what's best for everyone, instead of what is best for themselves. And so will the rest of my large, 40 person, midwest family.

Speaking for myself, come November, I will not forget who took away/ closed our lives for over 2 years and created such divisions and scare in population…. There is one thing that might happen- “something new”’will come up that will not allow people to vote like new covid or war or some other public scare….

I think you're misreading what I'm saying. I agree with you. The key here is that the data on deaths doesn't matter and never did. They can go up due to new variants all they want, it won't change the political calculus and that's all that matters as far as the messaging / policy goes. It's all about the politics and always has been.

This is false. Cases in Asia are at or nearing all-time highs. BA2 is just as bad as Delta but as contagious as Omicron, and it will continue to mutate as long as those countries don't have it under control. It will bleed over to the US around April just as it did last year and the year before and we will be back in the same boat again. Now if WF had been smart, they would have moved all non-customer facing work to be WFH and ditched the real estate or turned it into housing as its sorely needed in bigger cities - but they have problems when it comes to planning for things yet to come or adjusting to a changing world.

Testing won't last long. Midterms / Russia = COVID cured, at least that's what your TV will say. It's important to the powers at be that things normalize soon. They don't want outraged voters in November and they know the electorate has a short term memory. So, sure, they'll keep the charade going for maybe a month, then the testing program will end and damage control processes will ramp up. The only science that ever mattered was the poli sci. That's why RTO makes sense now even though deaths are actually higher than early in the pandemic when the "science" and "safety of our employees" meant we had to WFH. Google search "us COVID deaths". Look at the chart. Ignore the big spikes and look at the baseline of daily deaths over time. It's obvious what motivates the powers at be, and it's neither medical science nor data on deaths.

"Test subjects" - You mean the only people in the office who will actually know for sure that they don't have COVID during a given work week?

Yeah, it's that group you need to be scared of. SMH.

I’m not going in until the 31st. My LOB wants us to show up for at least one day to “get a feel for RTO” before going live on April 1st. Obviously, the KoolAid drinking suck ups are already going in 3 days a week. I say let them. Covid cases in our area are going down, but Flu cases are spiking. I’m triple vaccinated (with a flu shot), but I’m pushing my exposure out as long as possible to get a feel for what happens to the “Test Subjects”. Two and a half weeks should be just enough time to see results.. if not sooner.
