Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

F@ck Wells Fargo

I have Worked for the company for 20 years, 12 years in a position with approved remote three days a week. Worked out of the same 2 locations the entire time . My return to office website shows one location which is nearby only to find out today they want me to drive to a location 49 miles away or another location 37 miles away. There’s more than enough capacity at my nearby building but due to the new corporate properties strategies and in not allowed there. Going to be pretty convenient when they select the 36 mile location as that will not be considered a significant job change since it is not 40 miles ( curly severance pay guidelines document published this year ) from my house and eliminates the severance option.

It definitely is getting pretty obvious they’re trying to make things miserable for people so that they quit.

Even told you need to work your entire shift in the office , Typically in the past was able to leave around 2 o’clock and work from home a couple hours if needed.

This is not to complain about return the office, totally makes sense to people who only worked from home because of Covid to go back, but people on career paths that allowed working remote approved by the manager this seems awful petty.

What hub city are you close to? I'll take your job. For those of us working in branches the idea of working from home even two days a week sounds like heaven.

You are the ones that I feel badly for.

I love seeing all the job postings on external sites saying 100% remote work available for this position. The bait and switch continues.

Like most things from the failed Chase upper management, it makes no sense.

It seems like they want to get rid of people with any experience who might know their new policies won’t work because it makes no business sense. CLT already purged anyone who knew anything about their business.
