Why not promote someone from within, who know Intel and IT? Why must we endure the churning though of these CIOs hired for their demographic still? It’s been over a decade since the debacle with the last male CIO. Female CIOs can be terrible too, as we have learned. Let’s hire someone QUALIFIED this time! AZIZ, DARCY, etc…. Been passed over for these outsiders who fail. Pat are you listening.

Does this even matter.
Who cares who is CIO?

What matters is process technology leadership and everything else flows from that.

GL was not inline with the mass IT hiring that has been taking place so she was fired for not managing to the budget. Expect mass reorganization, efficiency alignment and layoffs to bring IT back into line. Far to many GR10 do nothings that need to go, to many senior leaders with no technical aptitude need to go. This will be good for IT.

@1hcu - Lack of transparency and obfuscation. Typical Intel BS.

As usual a lack of transparency so to allow the minds to wander.

Where is the official news though? Can’t see the CIO listed on exec leadership page but no official public announcement either.
