Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

The grass is much greener

Life outside Fiserv is amazing. In the last month, I've realized once again that meetings can be short and on topic, all managers don't have to be bad people who work against their employees instead of with them, people actually do get promoted based on merit, and coworkers can be friendly and helpful. It's shocking what Fiserv has made us think is normal when it isn't. if you're on the fence, don't be. Leave. Things are so much better outside of that place.

You could not be more right. You will find if you leave that the money is better, the mood is fantastic and that there is much more opportunity outside of Fiserv. Stop drinking the kool aid- the bank solutions business is in decline and the grass is truly greener. I think those of us leaving feel some PTSD after all we have endured and the constant disappointment of clients and peers. Don't walk- RUN. Spend your work time happy and with more work life balance. It IS out there and you don't have to settle.

Better yet, here are the top 100 companies to work for, and i don't see Fiserv on that list. I do see other Financial companies that would fire Fiserv over the way they treat employees.

Here are 10 technology companies that pay 35% to 90% more for talent. They also have a non-toxic culture. I made the jump to one of these companies and got a 110% raise.

I just accepted an offer recently elsewhere that paid me 35%+ more and with way better benefits and unlimited PTO, as well as being full time remote. Fiserv is a dumpster fire.

Not competitive, not high performing, and more money? Where do I sign up?

I never heard of polyanish before. This trash site actually taught me something. Amazing!

If your gig is so good why do you come here and try and persuade others. I think it is because you really aren’t sure you made the right decision and are trying to justify by getting others to follow. Your polyanish description of your new company doesn’t sound competitive or high performing. Your advice to get people to leave can have negative consequences on our associates family if they make a bad decision. Move on.

Yep, agree. Every place has it frustrations, but leaving Fiserv was like a weight being lifted of my chest. At my new workplace, people smile and laugh. I missed that.
