what is medical and other benefits for US Employee.

If coming from Honeywell from different country to USA for same position. want to know about package considering same salary.

I guess in india the idea of fun is to ask questions that one should know but doesn’t … must be one of those directors, sr directors or VP that got hired because of being of the “correct” lineage ?

Honeywell told me they had EXCELLENT benefits when I was recruited.

Then we compared them to my wife’s company (similar size, similar industry) and Honeywell was at least doubly expensive. This is NOT a generous company. It is a greedy company that does not pay or look after it’s staff - but hey, we do get to watch with pride as VP and President level get their bonuses to feed their piece of sh-t greediness.

Stay where you are. It is possible they'll close your plant down in United States. Then move it to where you used to work.

You're thinking you going to get more pay. So moved to a United States, honeywell's philosophy. Eventually move all jobs to lower cost regions or countries.

The problem is so far beyond medical expenses.
You life style will drop significantly if you move to the us from anywhere.
In europe health care is essentially free compared to usa.
India is a fraction of the cost .. perhaps 10 to 30 percent across the board.
Medications can be 100x more expensive in amercia.

This is only the beginning. Do not accept equivalent salary.
You must be paid based on US payscales.

Note that h1b visa require this by law.
If you are not paid a fair market wage it could be in violation of us labor law.. and be certain we will report the violation.

Honeywell is Self insured. There are usually 2 companies that manage the plan for the Company. The benefits are identical between the 2 choices. As stated above Dental and Vision are separate from Medical and are completely paid by employee. They are not generous benefits by anyone's standard. I believe that by configuring benefits in this manner Honeywell profits. Find another company to work for.

You are going to be SHOCKED and will likely quit. I pay $260 per paycheck and still have deductibles north of 3k each year. More if I need dental or vision. You must get a cost of living adjustment to cover high price of healthcare in US. Easily 10X the cost in literally every other country in the world.
It is not uncommon for me to spend $20k on health care for my wife and I and we are in reasonable health.. non smoking, not overweight, She takes some meds.

Recommend you double you current salary.
