The return dates are all staggered; too early to tell.
Yeah, 10% capacity. Heads down, which is pretty much the same as pre-COVID. But hey, Big Oil and Russia are probably ecstatic about RTO.
Wow @1kps+1fKPyOAR That popcorn thing is so childish... the best I was able to do is hide the monitor power cords from the 5 cubes surrounding mine. Hope to expand my protection zone by 5 more cubes if I get in early enough today.
Somebody here put a bag of popcorn in the microwave and then walked away. It started smoking and stunk up the entire building real bad.
my teams RTO dates are all over the map with some starting later this week to some not at all because the space isn't ready. I think we'll need to give it a few weeks to a few months to settle out.
Not all LOBs/jobs are RTO yet. Plus it's Monday, so those dragging their feet likely used today as over of their WFH days.
The latest RTO date I know of is in September for contact center workers who are on the phone.
Floor I was on was about 10% full. I showed up around noon and left by 2pm. The floor I'm on is basically the same as before.
My return date isn’t until tomorrow 3/15
Same thing in our office. Very quiet. A few people shuffled in, put on headphones and worked. I didn’t see a person that I knew and I have no intention of introducing myself to randos. A complete waste of time and gas to drive in.
1/3 - 1/4 of pre-pandemic occupancy. But not just my floor. The lobby, which is normally bustling, had only a handful of people, and at a favorite lunch spot that used to have a line of people stretched out three door, I was able to walk right up to the counter and order.
Going in affirmed that RTO is a massive waste of time. It was clear that no one wanted to be there, and most just kept their heads down at their desks until it was time to leave.
Last day to use PTO should be 3/15, tomorrow. We should be able to have a better assessment on Wednesday.
This was also the last day to use carryover PTO and most people aren't going to come in on Mondays for their hybrid week. Give it time.
As a VP, I was the only one in my office, except when an employee stopped by to chat. As far as the entire floor, there was about 30 or so.
Let's see what happens week of 4/4. That's where the rubber meets the road. Stand strong!

One floor has 40 ppl
Another 15
These floors hold at least 200 ppl each. I hear is the same for the other buildings in SF
10% maybe. The technology guys they hired to help with RTO were basically sitting there doing all the work while the actual tech employees just screwed around all day and did basically nothing because there wasn’t enough work
