My India team isn’t going back until at least April and at least 2 of them aren’t within a 2 hour commute from their assigned office. I wonder how long until they quit.

I've gone over just how hollow the threat of termination for lack of RTO is. Being fired isn't the scarlet letter some people think it is, especially if you can explain why it was a logical decision. Any good hiring manager will know this.

their are vague guidelines out there but until they push an actual policy and enforce it evenly across the bank with managers and hr having the necessary tools, you're probably safe for a little while.

Terminations for cause, firings for no RTO... some folks must be in groups/LOBs that are pushing RTO hard OR the company has taken up permanent residence in their heads.

Nothing but wishy washy, happy-to-see-you gibberish from the overlords about RTO - and the minions respond by whipping themselves into an irrational frenzy and fear, leading some to make irrational decisions about staying or leaving.

It's way early, give it time - stay at home or not and do the work. The last two years were more than just a glimpse and the market will reward or punish the value provided by companies that prescribe to the professional daycare model.

Not going in till the 31st.. and that will only be half a day. My group got a “grace period” to trickle in and get a “feel” with no expectation of starting the hybrid model till April 4th. Sure, we have career minded company men/women who will throw themselves out there starting today. I say let them. Live your lives on your terms. Work to live.. don’t live to work. You don’t get ahead by always raising your hand or volunteering anymore. Sit back. Get a feel for the room. When the time is right, make your move. No one remembers the suck ups anyway.🤷🏻

I'm not going in today but we have a bunch of muckity mucks coming to the office later in the week for a meet and greet so we'll all be back for that.

So many people have left the bank in my department that my not going in will not be an issue. If it is then so be it.

Did it say we had to return today? No. It says this is when RTO starts. You may chose to stay hm every Monday. No one is getting terminated.

Terminated with cause doesn’t sound like fun
