It’s already here. You don’t think it’s not being used to scan IM’s and emails for writing style, tone, and security violations? It’s been in place since before Covid.
WF must be investing millions of dollars this very moment in technology that fingerprints your writing style so you can be identified anytime you post something online... actually, that probably is something they'd invest money in. Cr-p, I just gave them a million dollar idea... sorry guys. Good thing I quit back in October!
@mru+1fKvluJV HTTPS doesn't mean it is secure. WF has a root certificate on all machines, and all traffic goes through the WF proxy. Which means they can see everything. Go to any website and check the certificate. It will always say Wells Fargo. Do the same thing from your phone or home computer, then you will see the certificates are all different.
They ARE reading posts here. There was a thread that listed some specific RTO/Location gripes that was answered in an internal email that went out to thousands.
They do NOT know who is posting here, unless you do it from a device connected to a company network or a company WiFi.
There is no legal recourse for WF to get any IP addresses from this site unless there is a court order - which isn't going to happen.
"Gee Mr Honorable Judge, our employees don't like us. Can you make the admins of that website give us their IP addresses so maybe we can find out who they are...???".
Use a VPN.

I've been posting here since 2015. I access the site and post using the work computer, frankly I do not care if anyone finds out. The corporate is tracking the site, directors, etc. layoffs.com is the source of truth at WF right now. This helps managmeent figure out how the workers feel.
Anyhow, posts (all other interaction with layoffs.com) are sent via httpS so no worries on anyone finding out what you are looking at or what you are posting.
Read the terms of service, the only time you get in trouble is when you enter threatening posts, in that case they (layoff.com) are explicitly saying that they will not protect your privacy
I'm 100% sure that Wells Fargo is unable to make any tech work for monitoring when everyday business tech is such a struggle.

You have no idea what you are talking about and I pray you’re not in technology. Posting or commenting here is not encrypted. There is nothing to decrypt.
If you are accessing the site on a work computer there are many non encrypted ways they can find out. You should consider everything you do in your work devices to be monitored and logged.
If you are accessing via personal device the website itself may capture connection info - all websites and web apps do. But they are under no obligation to share this with any of the companies listed in this site. Likewise if you are using a VPN the connection info might vary but the MAC address would remain the same if it’s being captured.
Sorry, whether or not they can track you is immaterial. If you are able to access this website from work and do, then you are a fool.
They can decrypt and view all this from within WF network.
Sure it is...if you are stoopid enough to be using a WF-issued device to access this site. But if you are using a personal device and not connected to a WF-WiFi, then it is anonymous.
