Husband is dr. in largest hospital in our metro area. Blood clots are a major result of even mild C0VID (lung, heart, brain) and some don't make it to hospital in time.
He said Justin Bieber's wife, Hailey, was lucky that they noticed her stroke symptoms in time. Many thrown clots are fatal. Flus and colds do NOT have this side effect.

Omicron can still damage your brain. I have a friend who works in MRI imaging at a very well known medical center and she almost exclusively does brain scans on 30 yr olds and younger who have had COVID, even Omicron. Every single one has lesions on their brain. Some might just have one or two, but others have 20-30 all over. It causes memory problems, vascular problems, heart problems, etc. So no, it is not "just a cold".
Research prevalence of long covid. Not something I want my family or myself to suffer from. Blood clotting also appears to be a hazard.
Omicron is a common cold equivalent. Please people, get a grip.

There will always be a variant of Covid, just as with the flu. If you are that scared, no one said you cannot wear a mask.
If you go with the covid-zero policy and have cr---y vaccines, this will happen. Thankfully, it's only Omicron and not something new.
