Really?! I’ll be sneezing. Not Covid hopefully. My kids also brought something home from school. Been battling it for a week now. I don’t think I’m feverish so I should be good to sit in an office for 8 hours at least one day this week. This should be fun. Get those conference rooms ready. Guarantee I’m not the only one either and I’m not trying to be an ars.

People in Minneapolis/St. Paul do. The suburbs do not qualify. Don't believe me? Look at WD, it was a mess because they had to remove the sick time from most people's accounts.
*I work in HR.
Ppl in MN get SAME PTO as well as sick time. Kinda hard to plan / commit to a vacation and then have the need for unanticipated sick time. "But be sure and plan out your PTO for the year!". 🙄
Having sick days is awesome. Came over from JP a couple of years ago and miss them - got like 6 per year and they would carry over - used a bunch to take care of my wife after she had surgery - very nice benefit.
There is NO chance I’m ever going to take paid time off if I’m sick when I could just work from home. It’s for vacation. Period. If Chuck wants me I the office, he wants my germs in the office too.
Yes
It's called Paid Time Off, not vacation time. Personally I like that it's all in one block. Drives me nuts when a company has 4 different kinds of time off all with different rules. Just keep it simple and lump it all together. If they did break it out, it's not like we'd get more time off, let's not kid ourselves.
PTO is for vacation. WF should provide sick days like many other firms offer. Then sick people would actually stay home.
TaKe PtO - that’s not happening. People are visibly sick in the office. I’m sitting 2 cubes away from a woman who keeps coughing so hard she almost passes out, and then she hucks a blood clot loogie into her garbage can and keeps working.
The CPG and tech people assigned to help with RTO are also coughing and not masked, and one wiped his nose in his hands and then began fixing a monitor issue with that same hand.
OP - feel better but I encourage you to cough and sneeze all over that shithole. Preferably in the face of the highest ranking executive you can find. They deserve nothing but misery. They’ve earned it.
Feel better, but take a pto.
This is a stupid post. That is why we have PTO. If you are sick, stay home. How is this any different then past practices.
Yes OP, we VERY much want you in the office, and that's not sarcasm. More sick people the better.
OP hope you feel better soon. I read an article this morning that China just put 51 million people on lockdown as they have just seen their biggest surge in Covid since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
