Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Times are hard as it is

It’s kind of sad to see good employees leaving and you’re not the first or would be the last. Leadership in this company has failed in how they’re managing RTO. As someone said in another post, a bunch of outdated minds, set in their ways and not willing to come to terms that people are just not willing to go back to the office and pretend it’s BAU. Most have realized that their jobs can successfully be done from home. Why put them through the trouble of having to waste unnecessary time getting dressed and commute just to sit in a building to do the same exact work. It makes no sense! Times are hard as it is. Covid was a mental and emotional drain on everyone for two long years and now a war where high gas prices is a constant presence in everyone’s mind. Yet this employer wants to preach how much they supposedly care about their employees.

Don't you realize they want you to quit so they don't have to pay severance and they can move your job to india? Everything they talk about is lip service. Watch their actions, don't listen to their words.

Five days a week is being shoved down our throats as well. I am currently wfh, but am looking for other opportunities. They are willing to lose the people that have other options, so be it.

Amen. I went in 3 days a week before the pandemic but now I’m expected to RTO as close to 5 days a week as possible. Meanwhile I get messages weekly from recruiters offering the same or more money for remote jobs. Whoever is running the RTO efforts is a dinosaur.
