Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Not a good place to work

Low pay/below the industry standard
No work/life balance
Extreme micromanagement
Overworked and underpaid
Mandatory overtime (at least in my department)
Disorganized training that leaves new hires confused
Talent leaving in droves, nobody doing anything to stop them
And did I mention low pay?

Time for a union? Oh wait, most of CS is now in Manila where the company can hire four people for the cost of one in MN. Canada and the UK have faced the same.

Tell me you work in CS&S without telling me you work in CS&S.

It was so farcical how they had a whole meeting to reveal the new "purpose" and it wasn't even remotely earth-shattering.

Has “leadership” had a retreat to come up with new buzzwords for 2022? My North Star is dim and my moonshot is off target. I need a new purpose. My goals have no measurable metrics. I’m sure that was done on purpose.

Just so ashamed of this company. Get out while you can.
