@dez - Collaboration against this awful, incompetent “leadership” team (sorry, I used the “t” word) and the self-centered, useless CEO.

See, RTO is fostering collaboration.

I went in one day and it was extremely depressing. I have an offer in hand from a major competitor… would level up but not with huge pay bump… the flexibility in their RTO might sway me to take it.

I went in this Wednesday where everyone on the 3/2 schedule would come in. It was great seeing everyone but the need to mindless chitchat was insane. I couldn’t even get any work done with people interrupting me every 20 mins.

Q: how are you
A: I am fine

Q: how are the kids
A: doing great

Q: how does it feel to be back?
A: I never left, I would come in 1-2 times a week since 3/2020

Q: oh?

Repeated several times like that movie Groundhog Day

I went for half a day on Monday. Skipped out because I didn’t get a single minute of work done. Have been Uber productive at home all week long. Office is less than useless for me.

@dny - I keep hearing about people being “required” to go in, but what happens if you don’t? I’ve been ordered to RTO too, but I’m not going anywhere near an office.

I went in one day this week for several hours. I echo the comments above about it being dirty, depressing, and overall demoralizing. I won’t be going next week and will instead be focusing on finding a new job. I hate this company and the senior leadership team. They’ve managed to single-handedly take a sh-t on morale. Unfortunately, they’ve made it obvious that they do not care. Especially in COO which is the arm pit and most miserable place to work in Wells Fargo.

I’m “required” to go in 4/5, then 4/11-12 then start a 3/2 schedule on 5/2.. what a miserable joke.. I was told it would be strictly monitored by higher than my two up manager with no flexibility

I went in one day this week and was more miserable than I thought it would be. Very few people, floor was disgusting (untouched in 2 years), distractions you just don't have at home, long commute, anxiety about all of it. But I saw it with my own two eyes and it's not for me. I'm staying home all of next week and we'll see from there.
