Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

This is why they're pushing for RTO so strongly

I saw this on the Wells Fargo page and reading the article left me furious. It makes perfect sense, though. Why would you force your employees into a situation that's going to create resentment and drop productivity unless there's something to gain from it. I couldn't figure out what they were gaining, now I know.

RTO is cover for vax mandates. Turn off your TV, close facebook, and think for a minute, will you?

Cool conspiracy theory, bro! I haven’t seen such an insidious plan since the Duke brothers tried to corner the FCOJ market.

Agree! The article was one-sided and neglected a few bigger issues than productivity which are mental health, and circulating the economy through everyday life of traveling to/from the ole brick and mortar. The economy is missing funds spent on gas, vehicle maintenance, daycare, fast food, clothes, personal hygiene, etc. It is not a fact productivity increases while working from home for all. I know of so many people dealing with mental health issues right now who used to be energetic and outgoing to now overweight, living in pajamas and showering twice per week.

This article is pretty one sided and it's not a fact that "most" workers are more productive when working from home (some are and some are not but it's not definitive as a whole). The bigger problem with a work from home posture at a bank are ensuring regulatory requirements are adhered to. Combine that with the fact the government continues to increase regulatory scrutiny and expand requirements and it sounds more like the government does not want people working from home than the bank does.
