Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Financial Advisors, Why Stay?

FAs, why do you stay at Wells Fargo Advisors? Isn’t it challenging to attract new clients after years of negative news? I understand existing clients stayed, but surely it is easier to grow at other firms without the baggage. Help me understand why you stay.

They stay because it isn’t always better at another firm. Wells has a great platform and when you switch firms you only take about 60-70% of your book with you. Takes on average 5 years to get back to your previous T12 revenue. Yes there are some that do better but most don’t.

They are mostly lazy. They are used car salespeople and they know it. To their credit they were in right place at right time but as their estate processing needs increase they will feel the true disaster this firm has become.
