We have completely tone-deaf leadership
Competitive compensation is no longer afforded to anybody other than upper management
This was not the case before, but now there's a minimal investment in the development and growth of employees
There is clear over-reliance on layoffs of better-paid employees to save on costs, instead of trying to find long-term solutions

@ajfz First of all, "you worked" at IBM So why are you trolling a site for us who currently work here Don't chime in when you're not one of us We all know that nepotism is a fact.
You are a dish rag
I worked at IBM for 15 years and never once saw an example of nepotism. Nor have I ever heard another IBMer complain about it - except on this board.
My theory: there are a lot of people here who are the useless deadweight that the rest of us complain about, and they always have somebody else to blame for their "lack of opportunity". And now that outright racism is no longer acceptable here, imaginary nepotism (which of course they could easily prove if oh, only they were allowed to!) is the target of choice.
8hpa is probably one of them. Baiting people to get in trouble Sure sign of an executives pos kid
Naming names is going to get you banned on this forum, so nobody will answer you. But if we're all seeing it happen, so can you. You're just playing d-mb.
"Nepotism abounds at IBM like no other company I have ever worked at. It's literally part of the corporate fabric."
Once again somebody throws this out, and once again I'm going to ask: where is the evidence? Name somebody who has been hired through the influence of a relative. Don't be shy, this board is anonymous.
I've asked this question before and NOBODY has ever stepped up with a name. I'm beginning to suspect it's the same person saying this every time, and the reality is that they are not very good at their job, and looking for something to blame besides themselves.
Nepotism abounds at IBM like no other company I have ever worked at. It's literally part of the corporate fabric. It's disgusting!
Just look for the Summit site managers in BPs and search on the last name of Summits you'll see it all
I wouldn't name anybody here unless you want to feel the might of the ban hammer. Happened to me. A change of IP solved that issue, but I learned my lesson.
@2ynr "managers hiring their family over qualified candidates"
That's what we call a "definition". We all know the definition of nepotism, thank you. I'm asking for an example.
Can anybody name an IBM employee and the manager who hired them where the two are related? i.e. an actual example of nepotism.
NOTE: not merely two people from the same family who happen to both work at IBM. Lots of married couples met their partners at IBM, or both happen to hire at the same site in places where IBM is a major employer.
what's an example of nepotism you know of?
- managers hiring their family over qualified candidates
According to our BCG training this is a conflict of interest.
Is this ever addressed by the company? He-l to the naw!
I keep hearing "nepotism" on this site and I keep asking for somebody to name an example. And nobody ever does.
So I'm asking again: what's an example of nepotism you know of?
Nepotism and bloat is the name of the game.
Enjoy your meal

IBM doesn’t do “long term solutions”! They are focused on the short term enrichment of the executives! And GR is still a POS!!!
