Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Why the fear ? .. the 10K reports say it pretty well

Honeywell employees reported in SEC filings
Down 13% after accounting for spin offs.
Not my numbers... SEC reports.

2021 -- 99,000
2020 -- 103,000
2019 -- 113,000
2018 -- 114,000
2017 -- 131,000 ( spinoffs )

At the same time the percentage of employees by regions continued to shift to Asia PAC causing North American and European workers to watch colleagues leave.
These number are likely simple estimates versus actual census counts. If you count email addresses you get a somewhat different number. That is for another post.

Honeywell will figure out a way of classifying the work as functional based rather than hotly based.

In other words, we will pay your hiring agency $X amount of dollars to perform this fiction rather than $Y/ hour for your time.

Honeywell is always about fixed, known costs. If they have to bend a few laws, so be it as long as they don’t outright break them.

As stated before ‘ Why wouldn’t you want to work for/with Honeywell?’

For HONEYWELL the perfect ‘ employee’ would be a contract worker in every position.

At the end of the day, they would be told to come in tomorrow or not. They would bill HON for 8 hours regardless of the hours worked. Terms would be net 120.

During that 120 days, HON would evaluate the work done and renegotiate the rate down so that the quarterly profit is maintained.

Supervision would be by HTS in India.

Concurrently, HTS would be developing algorithm to automate the process to eliminate the overseer.
