There are a lot of important points beyond the $23 million. Look for the pages in the proxy statement that identify his ratio to the median ATT employee at 227:1.
Does he work 227 times harder? Does he add 227 times more value than the average employee?
Did you also see the chart about how Stank and his directs get personal use of the company jet, car allowance, country club membership, and more.
Shouldn’t shareholders be outraged in the downtrend of stock price instead of rewarding the bad decisions from the people who got us here? That public file also says the board wants shareholders to vote AGAINST re-looking at executive comp.
Board also wants you to vote against having an independent board chairman, and publicly releasing an analysis of the company’s political donations compared to its stated values.
The execs don’t really care about what stockholders want, and especially not what customers want. They only care about their own personal wealth.
Just because one does not agree with your post does not mean they are trolls. This forum is typically filled with inflammatory posts and comments with the intent to anger and denigrate. That is the definition of trolling. Worth noting is name calling, insults, lying, swearing does provide insight into the character of the poster, though.

it’s always the people who slept through 8-12 grade, hated school, resents college educated, especially MBAs, complains about training, Nano degrees or any degreed program….and yet resent those who’ve achieved success in part because they followed a different path. Oh the irony!
Even CEOs for non-profit organizations typically make a lot of money….way more than their employees. I suggest you start your own company then you can reap the benefits of being in charge and keeping all that cash for yourself, Mr Smarty.

I remember 60 minutes doing a segment in AT&T pensions a few years back. Basically, the top 400 executives in the company receive 60% of the pension money. This doesn’t apply directly to salary, but it showed me the offset in income, benefits and perks within the company.
I understand the pension may not apply to all employees, but it certainly still applies to income, benefits and perks.

Why does it trigger some of you SO much what someone heading up a multi-billion dollar corporation makes? So what? Even if they volunteered their time for FREE and split their gross income among the masses it would only amount to less than $10/month in your pocket.
(Literally! $23mil / 230k employees =~$100 annually per employee)
