Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Let me get this straight

We need layoffs since the money is tight, we need to cut benefits for that same reason, bonuses and raises are a joke because, again, there's no money to pay for it...but apparently there's plenty of money to give Stankey an 18 percent raise??? Seriously??? They're now openly mocking us, not even trying to hide it. Peasants can work for pennies while the serfs get richer and richer. Fu-k that noise.

I’ve said it here before, the company is run for the benefit of the largest shareholders and the C suite.

Money is not tight because we are still paying dividends to investors. We need layoffs because we have too many workers.

Was pretty happy with bonus and raise this year actually…I stopped caring about CEO compensation a long time ago.

I can only imagine that for $4.4M, he gave the BOD lots of or-l! What else could it be? He told them what they wanted to hear and they bought it hook, line and sinker! Ohhhh, I'll bet you thought I meant other or-l, that could be true as well...lol!

WoW! Stankey gets a $4.4M raise, but for what reason? Can anyone explain what he did to earn this raise? This has got to be right up there with his failed acquisitions that resulted in mega debt for AT&T.

March 15 came and went. No layoffs in SouthEast. Haven't heard of any elsewhere.

Pay increase = Inflation x 2, sounds good to me. Now, tell HR that the rest of us want the same competitive pay for our awesome performance. We will be happy to do videos in parajamas to promote what a great company T is.

As was answered by the great Uncle Ed at a shareholder meeting when asked about bonuses being paid out after the worst financial quarter in years…. It is difficult to keep good people…

I've 39 years but only 57.
Top craft.
Figure I'll hang out for a few more years.
I do take a lot of unpaid time off as we have little work to do and I don't need the $$$.
You folks need to realize, and accept, that they don't care about you.
I was all gung ho in the 80's to make a difference.
By the early 90's they beat it out of me.
Wise up.

Worst CEO ever, BOD rewards him with a 18% raise. Is this some kind of sick joke? Can't hardly wait until he's gone. Why not just give him AT&T? Seems likely the BOD would be willing to do just that.

Stamp your foot hard and tell leadership you’re mad as heck and you’re not gonna take it anymore! Add a bit of yelling, too. Nobody cares about your fits of anger, dude.

Why not show them your indignation by quitting, like immediately? I think you should.

Best bonuses I ever remember for most... Raises were much better than they have been in a long time for most... Inflation = waaaaah!
