The appeal of working from home has more to do with the desire to leave Houston than to actually work from home.

I’ll start a job search soon and would be willing to take a $50,000 payout to live in the right spot.

I honestly haven’t disliked much about my career at EM, but drastically underestimated the important of “location”.

Colorado, Tennessee, North Carolina, western Montana, some places in the Pacific NW like Bend or Spokane…. I’ve got enough money for anything I want, but you can’t buy better weather and outdoor activities.

  1. 00% I get more real work done without people constantly stopping by to try to delegate PowerPoint “opportunities” to me.

I want a 10% increase for WFH.
Why ? Disconnected from any real social contact with the network, an always on call mentality, poor work/life balance, being marginalised in large meetings being in the minority in Zoom calls, forgotten about by senior management, need I go on ?
Or maybe I should just adopt the attitude of doing less and enjoying life.

Remember if your job can be worked from home, it’s then an easy “sell” to move your job to a low cost location like BTC. Very slippery slope….

If your work can be done remotely in HCC, just be aware that it can be done definitely in LCC....Good luck with that!

work from home full time? sounds pretty awful. I'll keep paycheck and come in to the office.

20% - I'd be saving 20% of my time by not having to shave, dress, commute, eat lunch out, etc. Granted, I've reached the point where additional money saved does not make a big difference in my life.
