It's only been a week since I went back to the office. There were a normal amount of people in, but the change of the space in which I work definitely was not that noticeable to me. The usual number of distractions, acceptable chairs, and the smell of the space was about the same. I felt "meh" and that feeling stuck with me throughout the whole week.
Looking back at the work that I’ve done in the past week I noticed I have completed about the same amount that I used to complete when I was working from home.

Clearly this person is single, no kids and lives 5 minutes from the office... smdh
Everyone is different in this regard. Some people ARE more productive in office. I'm not in that group, but some are and that's fine. The biggest thing for me is that without a commute I work 9-10 hours a day most days. With one I work 8.00, and that loss of an hour or two reduces production much more than could ever be made up due to productivity increases one could potentially get in office.
OP: Go into the WF light. The light is your friend. Even if you are a troll!
what about sleep, gas spent and so on?
