Went to the office --- hardly anyone there on a Monday, Thursday, and a Friday. I realized that most of the cars in the parking lot consisted of the following:

  1. security
  2. food service workers
  3. WF employees in corporate properties who are organizing RTO

A complete and utter waste of my time to go into an office and sit in a sterile cube to do what I could do in the comfort of my own home.

Theres an id--t here whose always tapping his fingers on his desk, like he's playing drums or something. The sound carries and its really annoying.

Pointless and honestly effed up. We need to
form a union and get some darn representation. The vast majority don’t want to RTO but somehow they hope we forget that the past two years never happened.

I’ve been doing 3 in and 2 WFH. CIC is empty. The whole thing is pointless. No one talks to each other (the few who are there). Collaboration is non-existent. CIC has capacity for 10,000, would be shocked if 10 percent were there.

I went in twice over the last two weeks and it was a compete waste. No one on my team came in and my manager is in a different time zone. Spent both days on conference calls all day. Cost me $15/day in gas and parking. Each day bookended by 45 mins in rush hour traffic. I'm done going in...I'll either find a new remote job or they can fire me, I don't really care anymore.

Haha, double meaning. I would hate to be kicked to the "curb" for slacking or not showing up for work. Happy Friday everyone and at the very least, for those who are employed, be happy we have place to work.

You mean “ahead of the curve”

Slacking a bit more than I usually do, that is for sure. Doing the 3-2 thing and dealing with it. I am figuring I am ahead of the curb by just showing up.

Can’t wait for the dinosaurs in the C suite to RTO retire or die (don’t care which comes first). They are stuck in the past and are a large part of the reason Wall Street has been overtaken by technology firms as the most sought after places to work for today’s best and brightest. I don’t know how they expect us to fill any of these open recs . Every interviewee we have passes after we disclose management ‘s expectations about working in the office. Don’t blame them either. I’m actively looking to get out myself.

Had several meetings with my team and others who are not located near me. Pointless as I could have done these from home. Had several interruptions - CPG was yelling at a vendor while on one call. Everyone on the floor could hear it. Second was a group of people squealing about How dirty the conference rooms are and how nothing works in them.

Spoke to two high level employees who both are looking to jump ship due to working 14 hour days and being forced to RTO. They hate the leadership above them and are frustrated with how slow some of them are to adapt to digital solutions. I am heading home to get real work done now.

RTO has been as pointless and id--tic as we all knew it would be.

In fact, it's worse than pointless. It costs us valuable time and money in commuting with zero return. It's just a simple waste.

The current C suite can't retire fast enough. Their minds are shamefully stuck in a bygone decade. We need younger leadership.

I wish this guy, whose only job apparently is to yak on the phone non stop, would work from home on Fridays. He is ruining an otherwise perfectly serene ambience.

Just praying for no fish being warmed in the microwave for lunch.

I think why the f am i here. Empty parking lot. So pointless. Did nothing but take a dump and sitting at my desk for a few hours and getting annoyed with the same 3 people walking by over and over and over again.
