Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Number of those who are still WFH

Two weeks in, do we have any way of finding out how many people have started going to the office and how many are sticking to their decision to continue working from home? I'm among those who went in both weeks and there was definitely an increase of people between the first and the second week. It's still nowhere near where it should be, in my opinion, so I know some are standing their ground.

WF leadership may be unethical and crooked, but they're not stupid. They know exaclty what their doing.

This whole RTO/Location mess has always been about one thing - driving headcount down in the most "cost effective" manner possible.

At the end of the day they're looking at just one number: How much money is being lost (paid) to non-executive employees.

@sef people are thinking that if Charlie fires half the bank, nobody is ever going to want to work here. Quit thinking being fired by Wells Fargo is going to be some scarlet letter on a resume. At this point it's a badge of honor.

I have not and will not RTO. Chuckie can still RTO and all his other antiquated directives firmly up his a$$.

I haven’t RTO’ed and and told my manager I won’t. I’ve had so many recruiters reaching out to me with WFH opportunities, so probably won’t be here long. Every other company has advanced into modern times and pays just as well. Only WF seems to be stuck in the Stone Age and pays like it.

Are people thinking they'll get unemployment if they get terminated for not returning to work? Are people hoping to send a message to management of behalf of those that still have a job? Because although it might not be this week - at some point they'll bring the hammer down. More power to you if you can afford to take that risk... I sure can't!

I have no idea how many people were on my floor. I badged in, got off the elevator, went straight to the bathroom and sat on the toilet on my phone playing games for 6 hours. Badged out and went back home. Times 3 days last week. RTO is the greatest.

All is well in our offices. Very good turnout. Those who didn't show up are no longer with the company. Bit it was their decision ahead of time.

Don't forget management's canned line about RTO being affected by spring breaks across the country.

LMFAO

April 4th is the next wave based on LOB's. Some floors in my building, lob wise are full.

Remember March is a phase in month. Some groups are doing by alphabetical groups 1 week & next week out. April will start the full 3/2 splits for most depts. That’s when volume will more truly reflect RTO

I went 3 days week 1. Week 2 I went in for 3/4 of the day. Too many early morning meetings I’m required in to waste on drive time.

They can have me getting work done or they can have me sitting in a chair. For now I’m making the choice in their best interest. If they badger me to go in, no problem, but I’ll work only the hours I’m in the building.

Less than 2% showing up in office and 98% still working from home.

Still WFH. No noise at all. Nobody I work with/for is at the location, so I am not missed.
