Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Stockholm syndrome

I don’t get the point of all these comments about how much better it is in other companies and how awful it is here, which come from people who are still here. What's the problem? Why would anyone be here if it is so drastically better in other companies? I’m a little tired of people doing such idealizations of other places and devaluing absolutely everything here.

It is drastically better outside the Vz circus but life sometimes requires planning for financial reasons and time to get over all the mental b.s..... then when we get our lives back we can look here are be glad we are free and support the ongoing sufferers.

Stockholm Syndrome is the problem with the stock price. T - Mobile does not have this problem.

How do you leave after so much time put in and so many years worked? If you're middle aged with 25 years or better it benefits you to stay and put up with all of the toxicity and micromanagement until your 30th year then retire.

You're obviously not in what's left of IT or the Retail Stores organizations.

I agree, no one is forcing you to stay here. In my experience, VZ is not so bad compared to some small companies where the managers micromanage every aspect of your work.
