Getting debt under control

It may be delusional to expect AT&T’s heavy debt load to be significantly reduced in the near future. I wonder if leadership will ever be able to bring the debt under control?

So how is splitting up the company going to reduce the debt? Sophistry to hide the fact from the public, that ATT owes more than it is worth.

T is making progress on organizing debt structure... Sell off those assets that don't support Fiber and Mobility (almost complete with WM), DTV, DL, Viro, Xander, outsource IT to Microsoft, cut the divided will free up 20B in annual free cash. Next up will be AT&T Fiber will be spun off to its own company. COR Retail consolidation, Prime agent model which sets T to be just a service provider/distribution. This is the way!

AT&T has always handled it's debt as it should even paying off early. Best cash flow in the business, keeps debt manageable.

I wonder if it’s like Cheney said - deficits don’t matter. Recall that the goal 2 or 3 years ago was to get back to the 2.5 ratio. So after the spin-offs, the goal is again to get back to 2.5 ratio. Groundhog Day applies again.

The Federal Reserve printed up $1.4T in 2021, and $3.2T in 2020. That printing will devalue all debt. Between the government and corporate debt, there is no choice but to inflate the debt away.

Take a look at the chart. You can specify the dates. All of those assets (government debt and mortgages) were added by using newly created ("printed") money. The Fed has AT&T's back (and not only AT&T).

The fix is actually quite simple and has only one path. Breaking the company up and selling the individual parts. Don't believe it.....just watch......

Yes, I think they will be able to get it under better control. We are able to make payments and interest with no issues and we have a positive cash flow. ATT is very much still a going concern regardless of what the childish name calling posters may think.

Stink does not care about debt. Stink cares about stuffing his pocket. If he can sell off anything at a low price, and continue to get eight figure bonuses from the D O P E S in the BoD, he will continue to stuff his pockets till there is nothing left.

In the end, he will only leave when the BoD gives the Stink the largest payoff to leave in history.
