It doesn't matter if you plan to leave or not, but you need to keep yourself in the game. How long has it been since your last job interview? Do you know how much the process has changed in the last ten years, not to mention 20? I know several people who hit a wall after being laid off because they've been here long enough that anything they knew about job search was no longer applicable. Update your resume, start applying, and if you get an interview, go and do it. The worst thing that can happen is you get a new job.

Couldn't agree more. And to add to this....you never know what might happen if you were to land an interview. You may end up receiving a job offer that's better than what you're currently receiving for salary and/or benefits and in a better environment.
