To all those asking to volunteer for severance, go ahead. There is a section around qualifying events and if you meet all the criteria, you are eligible. Specifically, it states, “if you believe you are affected…notify the Plan Admin” and Wells has 30 days to rectify or grant severance.

I found it interesting as well that the benefits email included information regarding severance. My guess would be that enough people have been asking that they thought it worth mentioning. For those of you that did not get the email, you can find the information by searching for “Severance Plan Summary Plan Description.”
I just read it and qualifying events are basically limited to the same events which they have already been offering severance for- position elimination, more than 40 miles away from newly assigned office location, etc.
So no, it’s not like anyone can now just “go ahead and request severance”.
I'm not sure all of us have received an e-mail regarding severance policies.

Read your email.
So, severance time calculation remains the same, but default notice period shortened by 15 days? Am I reading this right?
Where is this info can be seen?
Is it a coincidence that they are putting this out now? Maybe a plan for sending more jobs offshore ahead?
Tech is affected and will be notifying the Plan Admin.
