"New Hybrid Flexible Work Model"

Powell used this wording for the first time in today's communication. I am probably being too hopeful there may be more flexibility in the 3 day a week requirement than has been previously communicated, but I guess I am living on a prayer! Thankfully, my manager has already said they don't expect us to go in the first week or probably even the second week.

It'll be interesting to see how they square my being one of the most productive people in my group with the <2 hours a day I'm actively using my keyboard. Will I be rewarded or punished for my efficiency?

Badge reports, reports from the various tracking apps on your device. Another e911 app that's going to be used on all devices will report as well.

Then when our new bring your own computer initiative starts they will know through that system as well. Where you log in, how active your keyboard and mouse are, where your logins to the phone system are from and so on.

Not only that, but copying something from Chase that FAILED. Kind of like automation, agile, etc.

Chase did this last year and had to shut it down because they had an outbreak. Imagine that. Copy Chase several months later? Shocking!

@1hlk+1fdf3Cjs... The badge check system and your associated ip address could tell on you. Who knows how far they will take it.

Back in the day they used badge reports to TAKE YOUR DESK AWAY and insist that you give it up and work from home because you were not coming into the office enough. smh.

Seriously no one on my team is in the same location. In fact, I'm the ONLY person in my time zone. Who will know if I just don't show up to the office?

The email link says that technology hybrid model will be communicated soon. Will Saul break the news tomorrow?

I’ll be paying $10.80 each day to park and ride a germ-filled, filthy train with fellow passengers who include panhandlers, transients and crazies. Once I’m in the office, I won’t have the pleasure of working in-person with my team as we’re all in different states. Perhaps I’ll get to see a key partner, but he’s in a very high attrition group, so for all I know, they’ve been granted an RTO exception. I’m fortunate to be able to seriously consider retiring early and that’ll be top of mind for me, big time.

But can it be casual Friday all the time?

Yeah it makes zero sense to force everyone back at once all 3 days a week. Why not ease in with some groups first or ease in with 1-2 days a week. Between new testing requirements, parking, elevators, all the restaurants in the hot spots being closed so long the first few weeks will likely be a disaster. Seems like a terrible plan.

Man, my morale just dropped through the floor. I suspect it’s a slippery slope and they will push more in office, not less.

Keeping up with the gaslighting communication. Working remote for 2 years and now being forced to return just to check off a box and fill a seat is not more flexibility. Nothing about this company is an "innovative CULTure."

Smells like a steaming hot tu-d of non-information.

Too hopeful. If you click the link to read more on what is expected, it says you are to be in at minimum 3 days a week.

Some in operations will have a weeks in and a weeks out approach.

And then of course tech will be more flexible.

Definitely disappointed in the information as I wanted more flexibility than this forced timing. And don't tell me you listened to us and our surveys. BS.

My entire team is geographically separated. RTO makes zero sense for us. I like the office, but since some are still freaked out about Covid, why not concentrate on essential RTO first. Then ease in the rest of us.
