Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Today’s One Schwab Gem

I HONESTLY believe we will miss the CD1 MILESTONE because Schwab is a PIONEER in managing the most incompetent organization. EVERYONE in leadership is d-mb.

You dummies disengaged green and now you want to re-engage?

Working at Schwab has been a real-life Dilbert cartoon. It’s absolutely surreal.

That's probably how mergers/acquisitions should be run,, but probably more likely it is protect yourself and your friends. keep people you have known for a while and who have not posed a threat before. Be careful about trusting new people as they may pose a threat later.

Merger or Acquisition 101, retain the best talent, no matter where they come from. Best strategy to follow to have a high performing organization.

Blue will argue that Green is just arrogant. I’ve found almost every Blue person I’ve dealt with to be substandard. Most were very insecure and just circled the wagons when it came to trying to build something new together. Schwab leadership made it clear from day 101 that it was Schwab first. This whole effort to re-engage and retain talent is a joke. NGOMS, TOS, BOS teams are all poised to leave. Could have been great.

Thanks for the chuckle. Today was a good day. Had that garbage presentation going on when I got the word that I passed background check at my new gig. Just waiting on bonus deposit to give notice at this point. Such a great feeling to know for sure I’ll be free in a couple of weeks. Free from all the stupidity that is Schwab.

Nailed it…Schwab is will within its rights to dictate the terms of the acquisition. But the TD associates are damn sure not obligated to stay. Schwab basically said “take it or leave it”. And a number of TD employees are about 3-4 weeks away from leaving it, bonus in hand.
