I can't do the bare minimum

I wish I could, but I always think about the future and how what I'm doing right now will reflect on it. I don't see how doing a bare minimum can be positive for me in any way, other than to create a possibility for somebody to hold it against me in the future (you never know when and where you can run into people you worked with and for here). I'm happy for those of you who can but I think that a much safer option is to leave. If you're that unsatisfied, staying here shouldn't be your choice, even if it involves giving it minimum effort.

My work ethic will not allow me to do the "minimum". Doing the minimum would just eat away at me and I would feel worse because I would know that I'm someone isn't getting the best of me. Yeah, I slip at times,we all do, but I will not slip and stay down.

Could life at BAC be better? Yeah. Have we seen this pattern before? Yes. Did most of us keep going and make it through? Damn right.

This is the last "year end review" cycle where I will be here. Until I'm out, it's the bare minimum, which goes against my work ethic. But here's the thing... who's going to notice? Managers are so out of touch with what actually needs to be done, who's doing it, and who's just flailing around in the dark.
