Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Yes-men are destroying Intel

Intel is putting out inferior products because it's full of yes-men who'll always agree with what those above them say, whether it's right or not. There's nobody to push against the grain, everybody is too worried about their own as--s. With people like that, it's surprising things are not even worse than they are.

Bitter because they were in a layoff or didn't get the raise they "think" they deserved. Intels Pay and benefits beat most companies out there thats why people are so bitter when they get canned.

One man’s nightmare is another man’s career!

I have been working with Indians for many years. They are really nightmares. Below are the symptoms of those “nightmares”.

  • Managers have the attitude of “kissing up and kicking down”.
  • Very strong sense of hierarchy in the office.
  • Have the capability to make everything wrong sounds right, and vice versa. Sometimes I am even thinking about hiring a lawyer to communicate with them.
  • Managers bring personal favor into office and could not treat the team members fairly. The person whom the manager favors gets more resources and better evaluation on working performance.
  • Very aggressive, including lying and bragging often about their knowledge, which easily catches the attention and trust of managers who are not technically-oriented.

Only dump managements buy into their ideas.

Wow....really? do any of you actually work here? Been here for 21 yrs and I've seen the exact opposite. Everyone challenges everyone for better and and better and work as a team. Henceforth billions in profits yearly.

"Better, cheaper, faster."
"Challenge the status quo"
"Informed risk taking"
"Have fun"

Has anybody seen ANY of this in the past 15 years?

Some village managers don't want to risk their green cards, they can't afford to change jobs, since they would have to start the process again. So they do whatever they can to look good, even throwing their engineers under the bus, or agreeing to any ask from what they call "very important people".
