Exxon Neftegas Limited, an ExxonMobil subsidiary has operated the Sakhalin-1 Project under the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) on behalf of Sakhalin-1 Consortium since 1995; ExxonMobil has 30 percent interest in the project.

More than 1,000 employees in Russia total.

Upstream offices located in Moscow and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

Sakhalin-1 production infrastructure located in two regions in the Russian Far East and includes five major sites with more than 700 Russian nationals employed by Exxon Neftegas Limited.

Downstream offices are located in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.

I could see Exxon firing employees in Russia to avoid paying life insurance, it would be just like the movie Buried. Fire the employee before they are ki---d and no benefits since they died after they were terminated. It also gets us some of the 8%.

We NSI all employees in Russia and cut them loose. Since they are no longer ExxonMobil
employees we don’t have to spend any money to try to get them out or pay the death benefit. Winning! Hey, they knew the risk and were compensated very well.

@OP In theory nothing. The US wouldn’t be one of the belligerent powers should a war break out between Russia and Ukraine.

That said, if I were a US passport holder anywhere in Russia right now, I’d be on the next plane out of the country.
