Disappointed with AICP? Wait until you see the merits.

2% will be a high merit

@2svc+1ffG1Vd5 Sounds like you have a respectable and transparent LL3. Too bad we don't have more of them.

LL3 mentioned that AICP will be adjusted to 65% but the merit increases will be less than 1% for all of those in the non-essential areas (STA, engine, transmission, Purchasing, etc.)
There is a huge round of voluntary / involuntary separations to be announced in March, some departments in the non-essential businesses are being disbanded as we speak. Non-essential Purchasing operations will be transferred to India. As well as more STAs, CAD, CAE will be based in India. Testing labs manpower will be reduced considerably too.
Operations in India will quadruple since some operations in England and Germany will be transferred there too.

Dude just find a job at another company, even if you only get a 10% increase to switch jobs, you are ahead 5 Ford merit raise years. Unless you have a pension and are close to retiring, why would you hang around at Ford? Don’t be afraid to try, write a resume, apply for some jobs, you can practice interviewing for jobs that you aren’t keen on taking.
The days of Ford being a stable life long job are over.

I was expecting pathetic AICP and merit amounts this year. I'm retiring in a few months and told my immediate and plant manager to give my merit amount (percentage) to the rest of the team/group. I work with 5 other engineers to support a production line. If the merit is the usual 2.5% I told management that I expect to see that each of my coworkers would get at least 3%. Management said they would. I told them that I would be checking up on the actual amounts.

Bonuses are not taxed more. Then withholding on bonuses is higher. When you do your return next year the bonus will be taxed at regular income. Most under $125k adjusted (I believe) are in 15% tax bracket. Bonus withholding is 22%. So you'll get 7% of it back in your return.

So it is withheld higher not taxed higher. Still d-mb since the gov is forcing you to give them a interest free loan.

Fact. If you are under 50% of your salary band you might get 2.5%. I am an LL6. I've seen CPO for GSRs. I do not expect ours to be any better.

One thing all of this has proven is that the LL6s and GSRs are in the same boat.

With inflation. At 7.5% and the fact that we just got bent over a barrel and shown the 50 states with 54% AICP, our salaries are going backwards. But not for our stellar leaders…they keep getting more and more. This just means we need to do less and less.
