The elite don’t care about the average American worker. It’s all about being cheap.

Of course, they didn’t learn from their massive offshoring leading to a STEM employee shortage because young people are not going into those fields after seeing their parents laid off. They are cutting their own throats because who can afford their goods and services. Typical short sighted American business, not planning past the next quarter profits while foreign businesses like China and Japan have a 50 year plan in some instances.

No wonder the US is becoming a third world country. It’s their own fault.

Big chunks of most office-based companies fall into these categories.

So many layoffs in multiple industries over the next 5 years. Watch for a big trucker layoff too, now that auto makers are upset. They are pouring massive money into automating trucking and delivery to get rid of the chances of trucker boycotts clogging things up again. If you are an obstacle to change, you should know that industry and business is working to remove you.

@3rum it's 60 days, not 8 weeks... and it's 90 days in the state of NY. this is to follow laws regarding layoff notifications, not WF policies.

And yes, you are correct, you are an employee through the end of your notification period. So yes - anyone laid off now would be an employee past end of march and therefore bonus eligible pro-rated.

Does WF still do the 8 weeks? 4 working and 4 employed getting paid but not required to work?

Because if so then the comment about needing 3 months to get a bonus so they'll let people go before the end of March has a math problem.

It's already past the 3 month date if you get the 8 weeks package.

I think contact centers are trying to get past tax season, so they want to avoid attrition and disruption during that time.

Some think that with the amount of attrition that has been occurring that layoffs are not necessary. The problem with that is that Rubber Chucky is just not done with layoffs. He needs to get his numbers down to that needed level.

It will be before March 31. If you have worked three full months you’re entitled to some sort of bonus. So they’ll cut a big chunk loose before people qualify for their bonus.

Just announced that US based Contact Center employees RTO is pushed to Labor Day (Sept 5). What are the chance the axe is going to be chopping hard in those areas? Er, I mean efficiency found by moving them overseas.
