Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Don't leave just for the sake of leaving

I know many people are ready to leave BNY Mellon but I'm worried that in their eagerness to leave they'll end up in the same or even worse position. Don't try to leave as quickly as you can. Instead, do your due diligence. Properly research the company you're thinking of joining, find other employees to talk to, and make sure their page on this forum is not as busy as ours, among other things. Do everything you can to make sure that you're going to move to a better position.

I’ve been wanting to leave for a long time, however RTO reminds me of how much I really hate working here. WFH has made it tolerable but don’t make us go back

I'm leaving for the sake of leaving...worry about yourself and all my work you'll now have to do

I have saved up 2 years of living expense. Do I have to care about BNY? They don't care about me; I quit on anytime. I will try to quit on the worst time of the week that I can tell my manager.

Do what you need to do BNYMELLON does not care about you! Make yourself happy and have a voice be your own advocate. All I hear from management is we have business needs. Ok what about the employees needs? They don’t care period!

"....and make sure their page on this forum is not as busy as ours, among other things." This is so true . I was going through other companies in the lay off page and I don't see enough posts like we do. That's how we want to break free. I mean why would someone post so many stuffs on layoffs.com that means the skip level of this company is of no use. I also went to Goldman forums and don't see enough posts there too which means GS employees are much more happier .

I’d like to be clear about something:

Anything else will be better than BNY Mellon.
