We are all just a number for this company. Determination and dedication to one's job are no longer valued here at all. What did I get for all the years of hard and dedicated work? Irreparably damaged health!
How many times have you witnessed someone with a good work ethic be worked by this company to a complete burnout? Did anyone here benefit from a strong work ethic in any way?

They are just churning and burning through people. Turnover is through the roof. This cant be cost effective. New associates recieve little training. They will soon reap the benefits.
Voluntary, pffft. It's about loyalty. It should go both ways. @ief won't last 5 years max. More likely 1 or 2
OP is correct. Once you get a bit older and have accumulated some PTO the company wants to get you off the payroll and will do it in any way possible that doesn't make them pay unemployment. MM's and RM's actively engage in ridding the company of people who have spent a large portion of their lives working for building this company.

you also received a paycheck, or were all your years of dedicated work voluntary. If that's the case you might have a valid argument.
