Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

This is Bank of America

"No one wants to work. Our turnover is terrible."
Did you give raises over 7%, the rate of inflation, so workers got ahead? "No"
Did you give larger raises and bonuses to execs than others? "Well, yes, but..."
Did you ask people to pick up slack for those who left? "We had t..."

Sounds to me like people want to work, you've just made it unpalatable to work for you.

I heard they stopped monitoring VPN once the corporate phones were mandated as no way to track whether you're in the office or not if you do your work on your phone. (no VPN usage via phone).

That said, I heard they've now moved on to the super futuristic "badge swipe daily count" to track when we show up.

Any else heard this or is "daily badge swipe report" fake news?

@1iio+1fipLqYT what I've learned about this shthole is that the review process is a joke and raises, or lack there of, are predetermined before you even have your review. And the determination has nothing to do with actual work, work ethic or anything remotely related to performance. It's ALL about how friendly you are with leadership.

They have nothing more now than they did in the late 00’s and 10’s. They monitor VPN login. If you logged in between 8-5 in your time zone, it was considered being used, but would only show up on a report it if was all the time. You had to be a mywork associate to be removed from the reporting, or have stayed under the report threshold which was like, 72hrs a month not to be flagged.

Poor BM went down to $24.5 million last year? My heart bleeds for him.

He definitely deserves that 31% raise to $32 million to make up for everything he's went through. Like someone said in another post, maybe we should start a bake sale or something to help him out?

I'll just sit over here and be happy with my 2% pay "increase."

@tqa+1fipLqYT Not saying any of us should feel bad for BH, but he got his incentive slashed last year, his pay fluctuations are entirely based on the banks performance.

BAC has been monitoring VPN usage since the late 90s. You probably never heard of the 75% report. If you landed on that report your VPN was active 75% of your normal work hours.

I live in Phoenix and the entry level pay at the bank is the same starting pay at a budget hotel.. I got a raise of 2% and was told I'm lucky because some people didn't even get a raise. Unbelievable! I used to live pretty comfortable with the pay I got when I started 2 years ago but now I barely can afford groceries due to inflation. Pathetic company since our d-mb ceo gets a big raise every year.
