Don’t be in such a hurry to return to the good old days which, in retrospect, weren’t always all that good.….

Anyone else notice they published their food bank donations info hours beforehand to distract any news sites from reporting the return to office story? Even when they do something good there is an evil undertone

I'm going to have one of my internal Legal partner contacts read this and opine. To me, it seems like this is an FYI email sent to everyone; not an official invite/notice to those who haven't been invited back yet. It reads more like, if you've been previously invited back, you MUST come in 3/1, no exceptions. That being said, I'm fully vaccinated, but waited till the mandatory deadline to submit my vax status. I have NEVER received a formal "invite" with my 30 day notice. Also, why would they include a link to the FAQs which tells me I will receive a 30 day notice, if it is incorrect or outdated? I think this was intentionally written like this to cause confusion and ensure that most would skim through it and interpret this as all vaccinated must come in by 3/1.

I agree, they should have been willing to let people do hybrid or continue WFH if that person didn't need micromanaging and/or was unproductive. My team is spread across the U.S., so making me come in to spend money on clothes, food, gas, tolls, and precious time for getting ready and sitting/driving through 1hr traffic for "in person collab" is total B.S. Even the other 2 people in my LOB at my site, I don't speak to daily, because there isn't a need and we don't work on the same projects. This is geared towards people with kids, have ADHD, are older or tech-deficient who still find it difficult to use WebEx and Skype, have time in their day to waste talking at the "water cooler" and/or don't want to WFH.

FYI - After all sane employees are back in the office on 3/1, I think there may be a big surprise coming for those who are unvaxed and still WFH. Stay tuned!

And to top it off.. we’ll be packed in cubes like sardines, no soap or towels in restrooms, empty sanitizer stations.. and execs will be in their office. Been WAY more productive as WFH with folks not randomly walking up to my cube to chat all day. Oh well.. got a 50 min drive home so not working later anymore!

Love how leaders keep pretending like we’re clawing at the door to get back.. while ignoring requests for hybrid options- most will head to the other banks with reasonable options.

What are they going to do … terminate everyone that doesn’t RTO. Just like they were going to terminate folks that didn’t report vaccination status. Game on!

I think the reason why they did the March 1 is that people were treating the invite as optional and there was a lot of confusion with it. Probably a number of people didn’t return from it so someone higher up got ticked and just said bring all the invites back March 1 and say it is mandatory while throwing a temper tantrum. Of course at the same time on every call employees are asking if not pleading for hybrid and managers just ignore them with excuses. So my guess is a good number of people will leave between now and March 1 leaving even more work for everyone left behind to try to manage but the higher ups won’t care until it all hits the fan from error rates increasing and deadlines being missed that will make their profits fall, stock slides, and another bank or two overtakes BoA in the rankings .

We were told to ignore the email. We have more work from home. Also reported vaccination a long time ago but got Covid twice anyways as high risk Don’t have a position to return too. Hopefully they take care of us when all work from home is finished.

Don’t understand how people are confusing things here in comments from the email. Vaxxed go back March 1. Unvaxxed haven’t had invite yet. When they do they will have 30 days notice like everyone else. They probably just planning areas once vaxxed are back to separate the two and what they will do about testing depending on numbers and all. My guess is unvaxxed will be back by May 1.

@vad I can assure you, if you die in the next 10yrs, it would've happened with or without the vaccine. If that was going to ki-l you, it would've happened in the first week. Not years later. Don't let the people who make up their science as they go scare you.

The memo should have acknowledged that “WFH” delivered great results. Instead, they misconstrued the context. An insulting sm--k down to all their employees!

Pathetic leadership. This is going to breed a very deep resentment. They’re trying to stuff the cat back into the bag and that won’t go well. I am fine with being terminated or leaving if they don’t accept that I’ll continue working from home. We need a Union.

The RTO doesn’t define a “mandatory return” for March 1. So treating this “invite” as optional RTO. Also, having to wear masks in office when they don’t provide any protection (only suffocation) is ridiculous!

“It clearly said vaccinated coming back...unvax not”

Whatever the email clearly or doesn’t clearly state, people who are unvaxed and never received an invite prior to this poorly worded email that was sent today, are being told by management that they are supposed to return to the office on 3/1 too.

Damn, feels great to be unvaxed and continue to work from home.

What a fcking joke.

Last week, "You CAN return to the office, beginning Feb 23."

One week later, "You WILL return March 1."

The best part... "with continued focus on what's important to you." If you gave a sht on what was important to me, or any of us, you wouldn't be forcing people to return to the office when we do so much better from home. Cannot stand this place.

Another poorly worded email from Bank of America… but I believe everyone is being asked to go back (vaccinated and unvaccinated).

Everyone has to go back to the office March 1st. It’s not just vaccinated!

Where does it say the unvaxxed get to stay home? Yes, they weren't included in this email but I'm sure the unvaccinated will be called in soon. The bank probably wants to see how it goes first with the vaxxed folks then the unvaccinated will be required to come in. Maybe in a month or two would be my guess.

Did anyone else never get a previous RTO email before getting this one today? It says, "we have now invited back all employees who are fully vaccinated and in the Vaccination Status To throughout our U.S. local markets." I'm vaccinated and uploaded my status before the deadline last year but I never received an email with an RTO date and steps to take before returning. So does this email count as that and I now only get 2 weeks notice instead of 30 days? Do I just show up to the office on Monday March 1st like nothing ever happened these past 2 years or do I have things I need to do beforehand? No one else on my team seems to know or already had an RTO date previously scheduled

Don’t make this issue vax against unvaxed. This is about the bank choosing NOT to give raises that keep up with inflation, poor bonus, and reward our CEO with hefty bonus. Stop allowing the media, big corporations, and the government to deflect. The issue is THEM not US!

I love how you blame the unvaccinated for staying at home, instead of those in power that ACTUALLY DETERMINE THE COURSE OF ACTION. I'm unvaxxed. Send me back to the office, I don't care. Sure, WFH is nice, but I agreed to work from an office and I'm happy to do as I agreed to.

My goodness, some people, just blind to the truth.

And please, dont tell me how you feel unsafe sitting next to unvaccinated people. Or do we need to get into the logic of:

"The protected need to be protected from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to use the protection that didn't protect the protected."

Comedy.

It's not that they don't believe in the virus...they don't believe in the efficacy or need for the vaccine.

In that case EVERYONE needs to go back. Vaxxed or Unvaxxed. Why reward the people who didn’t believe in the virus? They feel confident they don’t need it m. Send them all back!

It is crazy how they keep sending out RTO notices and unvaccinated still stay home. Nowhere does it say they get the are. My old man had a saying 'sh*t or get off the pot'.

Is there a way to remove the vax from my body, so I can get reclassified as unvaxxed? It is like they are rewarding those who wouldn't listen to all their cheering to get vaccinated.
