ExxonMobil Cyber Security is stupid - Phishing Email service is unchanged for years

For those plagued with the monthly phishing email from the company testing your "knowledge", be aware they have not changed their phishing email service in years. "phishme.com" is where all of their fake phishing email originate. Just look in the header of the email for this and you can easily see which email are "tests" from the Cyber Security phishing team. They might change this now, if too many catch on and setup rules to filter them or such.

Happy US Career Day! Guessing they need some better people in the Cyber team.

How about the emails that state this is not a cyber attack. You know because hackers can’t add that to an actual attack email.

@1vpb+1fk7hmCY Bold strategy to report on your manager, I hope that doesn't backfire.
My manager sends out mock phishing warnings to the 40+ people in my group. Their justification is that "we'd do the same if it were a real threat" but it's pretty obvious that it's to make them look good to those higher up the food chain.

The point of them isn’t to trick people. It’s to just remind people to look. Instead of sending an email reminder which people would ignore, this reminds you where the tool is. No company uses great mock phishing attempts. It’s costly to really do it well. No point. It’s just to remind people.

Unrelated though, ITRM sucks

@1uvp+1fk7hmCY this manager should be called out to the Cyber team, it’s dishonest behavior. It’s easy to forward their email to that manager’s peer in ITRM so that conversation can be had at the “appropriate level”.

Yeah always amazed me how anyone with half a brain could fail one. They are so obvious.
How about the managers who would send a blast email warning everyone of the test?? What good is a test if you’re told it’s a test??? A Brit IT manager in Budapest always did this just so he wouldn’t have anyone from his org show up on the ‘bad’ list, what an as----e he was!
