Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Blog has run its course

and the folks that visit this site appear to be getting quite bored with the little news T has to offer or rather the news it offers is just plain boring as he-l! I guess that’s a good thing at the end of the day because there’s no layoffs to speak of, only layoff rumors!

My two cents on the topic:

  • if everything is fine, you'll never search internet to find info about AT&T
  • if you are frustrated, and there is no other avenue where you can express your frustration, you will find a forum for it - many find this site to be that outlet
  • after 20 years here i'd say the split between happy/neutral/unhappy folks here is about 1/3 each. if you look at arrows up and down on your post you will see they are evenly split - so, i think things on this board reflect the situation on the ground
  • use this board as a gauge, not a source of truth, it's an anon board, there will be some exaggeration, whining, etc. yet, if you see that a 5 hour old thread has 10k views rest assured something big is happening - that's where i find this site useful (also helps if you need a quick answer for anything att related as there will always be 10 people ready to respond immediately)
  • probably the best advice i can give to anyone: if you feel the site has no value just move on, you will be much happier. it works for me so i visit daily since 2015, it's a personal choice
  • good luck all :-)

Agree....read the posts. So ridiculous....Just a group of old guys whining about how they don't like leadership, posts about their 'knowledge' of what ATT should do to become more profitable or what they should not have done (funny), lots of juvenile name calling, complaints about younger workers, vaccines and a goof ball who regularly posts about drinking on the job. Time to pull the plug on this.....

You can leave without saying goodbye. That’s ok, you know.

No layoffs news? Lets talk about vaccine mandate.

So sorry you're disappointed that we don't have any layoffs at the moment OP. I expect you will be happy when we have "exciting" layoff news to discuss.

Layoffs will be back. Rest assured.

This site is the best resource workers have. It has failings but it is still the best

AT&T has had big layoffs every year for the past twenty years! What the he-l makes you think this one will be different? Layoffs are part of AT&T DNA. Will happen. Guaranteed. No doubt. AT&T glory days are about 30 years past.

agree, hold on to your hats boys and girls. The remaining quarters post WM will be a sh-t show when T misses rev expectations. When the dividend gets cut, air raid sirens will sound, reduce spend and we know the quickest way to get that done.
