Thread regarding CVS layoffs

DLS hate their jobs

Yes we hate our jobs too. Most of us are miserable and want to leave after bonus time. We get **** from our employees and our bosses, RDs aren’t very nice.

Trust me when I say that District Leaders hate this job more than anything, we had the lowest company engagement score and highest turnover. The amount of hours put in does not equal the pay. many of us would rather go become SMs or pharmacist again.

“Easier” than DL, but half the money

I stopped down a couple years back after being a sup and then thrown into DL. Being a PM again sucks too but it’s better than a DL

It's the company structure. As a company we have too many people at the top getting paid a lot of money.

Low country can’t keep a DL !
Maybe promote someone that actually can do the job and build a team to easily handle the tasks at hand ! Leadership has to have followers yet CVS puts followers in charge . Your leadership team are quitters so cry me a River , why would people follow a loser ?

A DL here and I am ready to jet.

The work is exausting and nobody appreciates anything you contribute or accomplish. Why even bother (aside from money and even that is not good)...

Actively looking.

Most of the DLS are promoted because they are willing to suck a-s. Bow to the hireups. I have encountered a few that were decent but for most really just looking to make themselves look good. Took the power to heart. Overall dls at CVS are losers.

My DL is home most of the time....sucks that it makes everyone look bad. I know some work hard but more often then not, they are off doing their own thing and it's a small percent of the problem going on at the stores. They are blind because they aren't exactly spending that time in the field. I challenged mine to get a Carepass while he was in the store walking around for 4 hours.....said it wasn't his job. What happened to leading by example. This whole thing is a joke anymore. Can't believe I wasted 20 years here.

DLs are middle management working really hard to support stores but can’t do it without having enough staff and the company can’t really stop everything they need to do to stay in business. Stores and DLs are all working non-stop.

Mark my words, after bonus’s hit there will be more DL turnover than the pharmacist in last 6 months. Many are leaving with out even waiting for bonus.

I agree with the original author. Most people have NO IDEA what DLs deal with. We remember and know what it’s like to be in the stores. We would LOVE to support better. Unfortunately we have ABSOLUTELY NO POWER. We can’t do anything to fix anything. We have so much RED TAPE and BS to deal with. And the unrealistic pressure comes down from the top. From people who don’t remember what’s it like in stores or are so removed they don’t see how hard things have become.
Most DLs work 7 days a week and put in 70-80 hours. ITS HE-L!
The EXODUS of DLS is coming!

DLS could don’t care about Carepass. It comes from highest level down.

Beating store up over care pass, caused the low engagement. All that can be done is ask. Then the company in there wisdom raised the targets.
